  1. Eat mostly plants, healthy animals & quality fats.

    Eliminate refined carbohydrates and sugar. No more highly processed foods!

  2. Drink clean filtered water. 

    Stay hydrated it will change your life.

  3. Avoid anything toxic & self destructive.

    This includes both chemical & people stressors.

  4. Move frequently & Lift heavy things

    If your life requires you to be sedentary for long periods, create opportunities to move and stretch every hour. Get as much long, easy movement as you can daily and lift heavy things a couple of times each week.

  5. Cultivate strong relationships!

    Despite living in an ultra connected world we are more isolated then ever before. A Harvard study, conducted over 80 years, concludes one thing. “Good relationships keep us happier and healthier. Period.”

  6. Sleep – 7 – 8 hours a night in a cold dark room. Circadian health & rhythms.

    Aim to get 7 – 8 hours of sleep each night in a cool and dark room. Circadian health and rhythms are what nature designed to optimize your health. Chronic sleep deprivation is associated with a wide range of health consequences. We need sleep to mentally and physically recover from daily life. The ubiquity of artificial light at night is robbing us of one of the best forms of preventative medicine.

  7. Get plenty of sunlight

    Our skin needs UV light to synthesize vitamin D. We are failing to reap not only the mood lifting benefits of sunlight but also the boost to our immune systems.

  8. Use your brain.

    Neuroplasticity, or brain plasticity, is the ability of the brain to continuously change throughout your lifetime Just as you exercise your body you have to keep working your brain too. Stay curious and be a lifelong learner!

  9. Breathe

    There is no quicker, cheaper, or more readily available state management tool. Increase your sense of agency to manage stress, anxiety, focus, and attention Simply close your mouth. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat.

  10. Get out in nature.

    Nature Deficit Disorder is a term that refers to the human cost of alienation from nature. Think of this as vitamin N.
